Vitamin D deficiency among 42% of the US population is a dangerous and alarming issue, especially in light of recent studies linking low vitamin D levels to severe COVID-19 outcomes. Studies have shown that people with blood serum levels higher than 40 ng/mL, had a much lower risk of getting infected with the virus, and also less severe symptoms if infected. Failure to address this deficiency puts a large portion of the population at risk of severe illness and highlights the importance of supplementing with “SUN” to protect against COVID-19 and other health issues.
